Across the Ages Reflects the

SPIRIT OF VICTOIRE LARMENIER . . .

Victoire Larmenier, Foundress of the Sisters of Nazareth

"Walk in His Footsteps

and that will make

your trials seem easier."

Victoire Larmenier, Foundress

Sisters of Nazareth

In the early 1860’s the founding Sisters in London opened a soup-kitchen at Nazareth House Hammersmith, London, England. This small beginning led to the Sisters of Nazareth continued response to the signs of the times and minister, where possible, to the marginalized of society with love and respect.

... Is reflected in the works of the Sisters of Nazareth who have entered new fields where the needs of God's people have called them to serve.

Whether working:

  • In Ireland at a local Correctional Facility
  • In the UK among Parish Communities, with recovering addict programmes, at retreat centres, or with busy young men and women who want to stay connected to their faith
  • On a southern California border, volunteering in established programmes to support today’s most needy people
  • As a community volunteer, or simply stepping forward as an emergency relief coordinator during a community disaster
  • Or in Southern Africa, Where the Sisters of Nazareth have taken bold steps to keep alive the spirit of Victoire in today’s world as they collaborate with other agencies in the daily fight against HIV / Aids and general poverty in the areas.

. . . The above projects are a few examples of where the Sisters of Nazareth are carrying the Spirit of Victoire Larmenier into the civic communities in which they live.
