Continuing Care

Admission to continuing care at Ballymote Community Nursing Unit follows a comprehensive assessment and when all other options to maintain you in your own home have been exhausted.

Convalescence Care

Ballymote Community Nursing Unit provides Convalescence Care to assist individuals with their recovery following hospital discharge.

Respite Care

Respite is a service that provides a break for carers. It is normally planned in advance of admission, however it may be arranged at short notice in an emergency and if a respite bed is available.

Support us

Ballymote Community Nursing Unit has evolved from the work and commitment of the Sisters of St John of God, who first began to provide services for the elderly at Ballymote in the 1970’s.
