Nazareth House Dublin

Situated on eight acres of rolling parkland close to the city centre, Nazareth House opened in 1970 to provide care for older people in the North Dublin area. Since then we have kept our traditional core values and ethos while constantly updating our facilities and raising our standard of care.

Nazareth House Camberwell

Nazareth House Camberwell is a 100 bed accredited residential aged care facility founded in 1929 providing care to residents of all faiths and denominations. Located within spacious grounds in the leafy suburb of Camberwell and within close proximity to local amenities and transport links with ample onsite parking. The community of Sisters provides spiritual, pastoral and emotional support to residents. Daily mass, rosary and other services are celebrated onsite in our expansive and recently renovated chapel which will always be at the heart of our Nazareth community.

Nazareth House of San Rafael

Nazareth House of San Rafael offers a warm, home-like environment for seniors looking for an Assisted Living facility. A variety of care is offered.

Nazareth House of San Diego

Nazareth House San Diego is owned and operated by a Catholic religious congregation, the Sisters of Nazareth, and was built in 1974. The community is open to all seniors, regardless of religion.

Governance

The Superior General and General Councillors oversee the work of the Congregation, and are accountable to the Chapter for their stewardship of the Congregation's mission, ministries and assets between each General Chapter.

Accessing information

The Archive is not open to the public and does not have facilities for personal searchers, although exceptions may be made for academic researchers by prior arrangement.

The Archive department supports the Congregation of the Sisters of Nazareth Generalate in their work.

The Archive is a private archive belonging to the Generalate of the Sisters of Nazareth. It is a safe repository for material deposited by the Superior General and General Councillors.

History

The Sisters of Nazareth roots can be traced back to 1851 when Victoire Larmenier, a young novice in Rennes, France was sent to England.
