We are very fortunate to have an extensive art program that includes all students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. The students are challenged each class period to use critical thinking in their designs and creative works of art.
Students study the techniques and varied composition styles of many of the great masters of art. Their studies stir their appreciation for the art of many countries and cultures. As artists themselves, students learn basics elements and principles of art — color and color blending. Each grade level experiences visual and tactile art perception using theory of line, color, shape, composition and design. Their creative expression reveals itself in drawing, painting, sculpture and a variety of mixed media.
