Our administration team consist of Jane, Senior Receptionist and Albin and Dawn. They ensure you are made welcome to our home, give you the correct information you require and signpost you to the right people to discuss your family member.
They are also an integral part of the communication system in what is a busy home and community.
We received 5 stars from local environmental health inspectors and have a reputation for excellent traditional home cooking, nutrition and choice. Nothing is too much trouble.
Our Catering Manager and Head Chef is Terry Jackson and he is supported by June who is our cook, they have both worked here at the Manchester home for a long time. They are soon to be supported by a third Chef; Jason who is well qualified for the post and who recently has won an AA 1st gold Rosette award for his cooking. We also have 5 catering assistants who complete our team. We ensure meal experiences are first class and hold a resident food forum quarterly to ensure our residents have their say.
We have good reputation for cleanliness and hygiene. Everyone who comes to the home comments on how clean, spacious and well turned out the home is. The housekeepers are extremely hard working and have a pride in their work. Following our recent Infection Control audit by the Infection Prevention team we scored 92% / GREEN which we are extremely proud of.
We have a team of two Paul and Robert who work tirelessly to ensure that all aspects of maintenance and health and safety are adhered to and succeed. Our grounds are stunning and again this is down to Paul and Robert who work hard on them to ensure the grounds are accessible and beautiful all year round for our residents to enjoy.
Amanda has been here 11 years and is innovative and full of life. She is devoted to the resident’s welfare and supplies a range of activities to suit groups of residents and individual residents. She is always looking for new and interesting sources of leisure activities within the home and to bring into the home. St Monica’s Roman Catholic school visit weekly accompanied by pupils and their teacher to conduct an arts and crafts group. The residents work can be seen displayed around the home. They are always busy trying to establish wider links within the local community.
Daily mass is available other than Saturdays and to other denominations can be served at their request.
Head of Care/Nursing Staff/Carers
Lead by an experienced Head of Care, we have teams of nurses and carers who ensure the residents have a high quality of individual person centred care.
Mandatory training is completed and any other training required is arranged to ensure we are up to date with all aspects of care our residents require.
There are individual staff who are specifically trained in certain specialities who act as champions within the home. E.g. End of Life, Oral Health, Dignity, Tissue Viability etc
