They are also an integral part of the communication system in what is a busy home and community.

Catering Team

We received 5 stars from local environmental health inspectors and have a reputation for excellent traditional home cooking, nutrition and choice. Nothing is too much trouble.

Our Catering Manager and Head Chef is Terry Jackson and he is supported by June who is our cook, they have both worked here at the Manchester home for a long time. They are soon to be supported by a third Chef; Jason who is well qualified for the post and who recently has won an AA 1st gold Rosette award for his cooking. We also have 5 catering assistants who complete our team. We ensure meal experiences are first class and hold a resident food forum quarterly to ensure our residents have their say.

Housekeeping Team

We have good reputation for cleanliness and hygiene.  Everyone who comes to the home comments on how clean, spacious and well turned out the home is. The housekeepers are extremely hard working and have a pride in their work. Following our recent Infection Control audit by the Infection Prevention team we scored 92% / GREEN which we are extremely proud of.

Head of Care/Nursing Staff/Carers

Lead by an experienced Head of Care, we have teams of nurses and carers who ensure the residents have a high quality of individual person centred care.

Mandatory training is completed and any other training required is arranged to ensure we are up to date with all aspects of care our residents require.

There are individual staff who are specifically trained in certain specialities who act as champions within the home. E.g. End of Life, Oral Health, Dignity, Tissue Viability etc
