Nazareth Care uses the services of a local Pharmacy to ensure the medication for each resident is provided with high quality expertise. Residents are able to order preferred toiletries and other pharmacy items upon request.
Dental services can be arranged by a resident’s representative. The resident has the right to the dentist of their choice.
- Medical Practitioner
Residents have access to the services of a Medical Practitioner and are free to engage the General Practitioner of their choice. The Nursing and Allied Heath employees work collaboratively with residents, loved ones and the General Practitioner to ensure that the medical needs of resident are met.
Pain clinic and general mobility enhancement
Our on-site hairdressing salon ‘Pearls and Curls’ is tastefully decorated and available to residents by appointment. Services include but are not limited to style cuts, colours, perms, blow waves, sets and professional men’s grooming and cuts. Special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries are also catered for in consultation with our experienced hairdressers.
Our on-site source of sweets and treats Café Mavis provides residents with home-made soups, sandwiches, savoury and sweet pastries, cakes, iced coffees and a range of locally-sourced beveridge’s. Devonshire teas are served every Sunday to coincide with the conclusion of Mass. It was named after the late Mavis Maher, a well-respected and dedicated member of the Nazareth House Auxiliary for decades, serving as Treasurer for over 25 years. Mavis passed away peacefully as a resident on the 22nd of December 2013 and thus Café Mavis is named in her honour.
The Nazareth House Auxiliary and volunteers operate the shop which sells basic toiletry items, biscuits, sweets, drinks, ice-creams, snacks and a large range of gift items. The Auxiliary also operate a trolley that circulates throughout the facility once a week with a range of items for residents to purchase.
