The home supported by the Friends of Nazareth House Finchley celebrated the opening of the Pergola Rose Garden at Nazareth House Finchley on 19th August, when Barnet’s Deputy Mayor, Councillor Val Duschinsky cut the ribbon to open the raised flower garden for over 80 residents plus staff and friends.

The new, wheelchair-friendly garden has been made possible with the generous help from WSW Builders, Avenue Gardens, Iris Gardens and Sunshine Garden Centre amongst many others. The Friends fundraise for the benefit of the residents and have worked hard to create the haven of peace in the extensive grounds of the Home.

It was a beautiful day, 25 members of the London Metropolitan Brass Band provided wonderful, traditional music and the 150 guests, residents, their families and the staff who attended were treated to Prosecco and canapés to complete the celebrations.

The residents, their family and friends have been expressing their appreciation and they are looking forward to utilising the garden as an accessible and uplifting extension to their home.
