Laundry services are available on site for all residents.
The House ensures laundry services meet health and hygiene standards including equipment and supplies.
Residents clothing is collected, laundered and returned in a timely manner.
Nazareth Care offers a four week rotating menu which is changed twice a year (summer and winter). Our menu is varied and we endeavour to please individual tastes and to cater for all dietary needs in as far as we are able. Residents are encouraged to participate in a Food Focus Group which is a forum including residents, Dietician and Catering Manager, to provide feedback of the menu and to share favorite recipes and suggestions.
Meals are normally served to the resident at their tables in the dining room. However, if the resident is unable to go to the dining room meals will be taken to their bedroom and assistance with meals will be given when required.
Approximate meal times are as follows:
Breakfast – 8.00am
Morning Tea – 10.00 -10.30am
Lunch – 12.00 noon
Afternoon Tea – 2.00 pm
Dinner – 5.00 pm
Supper – 7.00 pm
Family and visitors can arrange to dine with you. The meal can be organised and paid for through Reception for a nominal cost.
Tea and coffee facilities are available for residents and their visitors.
We do not store meals precooked by families / friends in our fridges and we are not responsible for reheating food brought in by families / friends.
There are brochures at reception and at the Nurses Stations on Food Safety Tips – please familiarise yourselves with the content of these brochures.
Each Nazareth House has specialised in-house laundry service and cleaning services that incorporate efficient and environmentally friendly waste management.
Our dedicated cleaning team maintain cleaning programs to ensure that House presentation is always of a high standard and enhances resident lives.
